Tranmere striker Ian Moore has signed a new two-year contract with the League One outfit.

Moore, who joined Rovers in January 2008, made 50 appearances last season and scored 11 goals. He began his career at Prenton Park and has had spells with Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Stockport, Burnley, Leeds and Hartlepool before returning to the club.

New Rovers boss John Barnes said: "I'm delighted Ian has decided to stay at the Club. He is a very experienced player who is a proven goal scorer. I look forward to working with him, and the rest of the squad, in pre-season training."

Moore added: "I've really enjoyed my time back at Tranmere and am happy to have signed a new contract at the Club.

"I'm looking forward to the new season and hopefully we will push for promotion."
