Coventry manager Chris Coleman paid tribute to Wrexham after the Welsh club held his Championship side to a 1-1 draw at the Racecourse Ground.
Marc Williams gave the Dragons the lead before Jermaine Grandison equalised and Coleman was impressed by the non-league side.
He said: "You've got to give credit to Wrexham. They played well and moved the ball around the park well."
He added: "They have done very well since Dean Saunders took over and we knew it would be tough.
"The players have trained hard all week. It's not about the result, but you always want to win. I'm pleased though because it was a good fitness exercise and a good work out."
