Ian Westlake is set to become Wycombe's sixth signing of the summer after agreeing a two-year deal at Adams Park.

The former Ipswich and Leeds midfielder, 26, has impressed during a trial with the newly-promoted League One side.

Westlake, who is known to Wanderers boss Peter Taylor from his spell as England Under-21 manager, had spells at Cheltenham and Oldham last season.

Taylor told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to sign Ian.

"I worked with him at England Under-21 level and he's got both good experience and energy in midfield.

"He's played for Ipswich and Leeds in the past and that shows what a good player he is."
