Crewe have signed Tottenham goalkeeper David Button on a six-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old will remain at Gresty Road until at least January 3 and will provide competition for the club's current stoppers Adam Legzdins and Steve Collis.

"This is a massive opportunity for me and I have come here for experience and to improve," Button told Crewe's official website.

"There is nothing better for a young goalkeeper than to go out and play competitive matches. You learn a great deal when there are three points on the line."

Button has previously had loan spells with Rochdale, Grays, Bournemouth, Luton and Dagenham.
