Carlisle have completed the signing of Scunthorpe winger Kevan Hurst for a fee that could rise to £145,000 depending on appearances.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Cumbrians and will fill the void left by Cleveland Taylor, who joined Brentford last week.
Hurst spent two years with the Iron after joining the Championship side from Sheffield United in a £200,000 deal, but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by due to the form of Martyn Woolford.
Carlisle boss Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "He's one that we know all about and we are delighted that he is with us.
"He will come in and provide a very good option right across the middle of the park as he has an excellent delivery and very good awareness. We are looking forward to working with him."
