Leicester have signed free agent Yann Kermorgant on a short-term contract following the striker's release by French club Stade Reims.
The 27-year-old has been training with the Foxes for the majority of the summer. He has signed an initial deal until January with a view to extending his stay at the Walkers Stadium.
"We are delighted to have added Yann to the football club. I now look forward to seeing him have a positive impact on the squad over the coming months," Leicester boss Nigel Pearson told the club's official website.
Kermorgant showed signs of his talent during City's 4-1 reserve-team win over Sheffield United last week, where he opened the scoring in an impressive individual display.
The Frenchman could make his competitive debut for the club against Preston in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night.
