Captain Robbie Keane was a hero for his country again as he claimed a late winner in Cyprus to keep the Republic of Ireland's World Cup dream alive with a 2-1 win.
The Tottenham frontman scored with just seven minutes remaining to snatch victory with the 40th goal of his senior international career.
The game looked to be heading for a draw after Marios Elia had cancelled out Kevin Doyle's fifth-minute opener, but Keane worked his magic to keep up the pressure on Group Eight leaders Italy.
