Blades swoop for Cresswell

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has increased his attacking options by signing Richard Cresswell on a three-month loan deal from Stoke.

The 32-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday frontman has fallen out of favour at the Britannia Stadium, starting just three games this season.

Cresswell signed in time to feature in the Blades' Coca-Cola Championship clash with Ipswich at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.
