Manager Nigel Clough was disappointed with the manner of the goals Derby conceded in their 6-1 thrashing at Cardiff.

Peter Whittingham opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Michael Chopra netted the first of his four goals in the 36th minute. Rob Hulse briefly got the Rams back into the game early in the second half but three goals in six minutes - two from Chopra to complete his hat-trick and a strike by Chris Burke - saw Cardiff run away with it. Chopra then completed the rout after 75 minutes.

"I am very disappointed at the way we let the goals in particularly after getting back into the game straight after half time," said Clough.

"Cardiff were due a big win and Chopra some goals but it was a pity it had to come against us.

"We had some reasonable possession and should have done better but we are decimated by injuries and only had six players on the bench."
