Ipswich manager Roy Keane has confirmed that midfielder Owen Garvan rejected a loan move away from Portman Road last week.

Garvan, 21, has made over 150 appearances for the Tractor Boys but has not featured under Keane since the 2-0 defeat at West Brom at the end of August.

"Owen is not in my plans at the moment and he had the chance to go out on loan last week," Keane said. ""I thought it was a good option for him to go and get some games but I have no problem with his deciding to stay here."

He added: "He's a talented boy and like every player at the football club he will have a chance to impress me.

"His attitude has been fine, he has trained well and played for the reserves."
