Theoklitos to be punished

Norwich goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos is facing sanctions from manager Paul Lambert after his no show at Gillingham.

Theoklitos - who signed a three-year deal at Carrow Road in the summer - conceded seven goals on his debut in August when Lambert's Colchester side ran riot. The Australian has not featured since but was due to be on the bench at Priestfield on Tuesday night and failed to appear.

Lambert said: "Michael will be disciplined by the club. I'll speak to him before you know any more details, it is only right Michael will know what's happened."

He added: "He should have been at the game, but he wasn't. Nobody is bigger than the club.

"He let everybody down - that's all I will say. He let himself down and he let the group of players down and let the club down."
