Teenage Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham last week signed a lucrative five year deal at Stamford Bridge.

On the same day it was announced that the 19-year-old frontman would join fellow Premier League club Swansea City on a season long loan.

Abraham made a name for himself in the Championship last season, scoring 23 league goals during a hugely impressive loan spell at Bristol City.

His performances earned him Bristol City’s Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer awards.

A regular for England U21s, Abraham became the first ever player to earn all three awards in the same season.

The teenager will earn around £50,000 a week after he put pen-to-paper on a new long term deal at Chelsea, having joined the club at U8 level in 2004.

Abraham made his Chelsea senior debut under Guus Hiddink in May 2016 and will be hopeful of breaking into the first team upon his return from Swansea in 2018.

Treating his parents

Family means a lot to young Tammy Abraham and it appears much of his new income has gone on a new car for his parents.

A video was posted on Instagram today in which the youngster could be seen guiding his parents to their new Bentley.

Abraham then posted on his Instagram story: "Nothing better than seeing my parents happy".

Fellow Chelsea academy goalscoring sensation Dom Solanke quit the Blues this summer and was yesterday unveiled as a Liverpool player.

“Every time I see Liverpool, there’s such a family nature, there’re a lot of young players doing well at the club, so I think it will be a good place for me to develop my career,” said the striker, whose compensation fee is set to be decided by a tribunal.

“As a young player, you always want to see the club you’re at pushing young players through.

Despite Chelsea's successful academy, the club have failed to integrate any of the youngsters into the senior side over the last few years.

A born goalscorer, Tammy Abraham looks most likely of the current exciting crop of young stars to break into the first team.
