Chris Paul and James Harden are ready to take on the Golden State Warriors and the rest of the NBA.

But could help be on the way for the Houston Rockets megastars?

Paul seemed to be hinting toward that during an interview on Tuesday with Marc J. Spears of ESPN's Undefeated website.

On the final question of the interview, Spears asked Paul about the possibility of one of his famous friends joining the squad down in the Lonestar State.

That's right, Carmelo Anthony, rumored to be on the trade and/or buyout market as the New York Knicks possibly look in a different direction, is linked to Houston in all sorts of ways.

Here's how the interview went:

Spears: What can you say about Melo possibly being a teammate if the New York Knicks trade him to Houston or make him a free agent by buying him out?

Paul: Man, sit back and wait.

"Man, sit back and wait."

Paul was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Rockets for a slew of players, including Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Darrun Hilliard, DeAndre Liggins, Kyle Wiltjer, a protected first-round pick next year and cash. To make the deal, the Rockets acquired Hilliard from Detroit and Liggins from Dallas for cash before adding them to the deal.

Paul started his career with six seasons for the New Orleans Hornets and then played six with the Clippers. A Wake Forest product and one of the top point guards of all-time, Paul has made eight All-NBA teams and nine appearances in the All-Star Game.

However, Paul could have opted into free agency this summer with a player option, but was instead traded to the Rockets. He will be a free agent next summer, but adding a third superstar such as Carmelo to the roster could intice Paul to stay with Houston, where Harden is already locked into a long-term extension.

In the Undefeated article, Paul said it was time to move on from the Clippers and stated that any beef with coach Doc Rivers and his son, Austin Rivers, has been squashed.

Houston also will have Clint Capela, Ryan Anderson, Nene, Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon on a nice roster. The team also added defensive stopped P.J. Tucker this offseason.

Paul has averaged 18.7 points and 9.9 assists per game over his career, but has never advanced to the conference finals. Along with Harden for coach Mike D'Antoni, CP3 will look to accomplish that and more this upcoming season.

And help could be on the way.
