The Oklahoma City Thunder made one of the most surprising moves of the NBA offseason so far when they sent Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for star forward Paul George. Now, OKC is trying to make its new superstar feel welcome. When PG-13 arrived in Oklahoma City the other day, a huge crowd of fans was waiting at the airport to cheer for the talented forward. But that wasn't all the Thunder did to make George feel welcome - they also let him do something they wouldn't let Dion Waiters do two years ago.Two years ago, when Waiters asked the team if he could wear jersey No. 13, the Thunder said no. However, based on a tweet from the team's account, the Thunder said yes when George asked the same question:

The reason the No. 13 jersey is so special in OKC is that it's the number James Harden wore when he, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were sharing the same court and dominating the Western Conference.

However, now that Harden is starring for the Houston Rockets and Durant just won a title with the Golden State Warriors, the Thunder were a little more willing to break out Harden's old number and give it to George.

Granted, with an awesome nickname like PG-13, wearing the No. 13 jersey is obviously an important aspect of George's image.

Something else that would be good for George's image would be a deep playoff run - something he and Westbrook will try to do this year before PG-13 becomes a free agent next summer.

Coming off a season in which he averaged a triple-double and won the NBA MVP award, Westbrook now has a superstar running mate he can share the court with in OKC. However, with PG-13 on board, Westbrook likely won't have the ball in his hand quite as much as he did last year.

Westbrook averaged 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game last season, but the Thunder fell to Harden and the Rockets in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs.

George, meanwhile, averaged 23.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per night for the Pacers, but he and his teammates were swept by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Now that the star duo is together in Oklahoma City, Thunder fans hope they can combine to lead the Thunder past the first round next season.

If they can't succeed in the incredibly deep Western Conference next year, though, PG-13 may head to Los Angeles next summer to start over once again.
