Old Trafford is certainly proving to be a hub of regular transfer activity and speculation this summer.

So far it is a case of two-in and two-out for Jose Mourinho's senior squad, however, everyone is expecting at least one or two more deals to go through before the window slams shut in September.

It isn't just the first team that the Red Devils are eager the strengthen, though.

Keen to maintain their excellent reputation for bringing young players through the academy and eventually into the first team, United have recently secured the signature of highly-rated 16-year-old Millen Baars.

You probably haven't heard much about it because the club haven't even officially announced Baars' switch from Ajax yet.

Nevertheless, he isn't wasting any time and, according to the Manchester Evening News, has already made his debut for the Under-18's when they beat Austrian side SV Ebensee 6-0 on Thursday.

So who is Millen Baars?

Baars is an exciting forward with bags of technical ability who had previously been at Ajax for almost ten years.

The young Dutch ace reportedly clashed with his coaches at the club, though, which opened the door for United to jump in.

Last year, his father said: "We have had talks with Ajax that were between Millen and the club. But it was certainly nothing shocking, he was even appointed captain this season of the B1.

"Ajax is a great club with a very good youth, but they can unfortunately not cope so very well. You saw in the past with other youth players who now play at other clubs. But Millen was ready for a different challenge.

"He played nine seasons in Amsterdam and he has always had the dream to play football in England."

Man United supporters eager to see what their new teen can do only need to watch the video of his best highlights to date below.

It's clear to see they have signed up a serious talent to their ranks.

Although described as a forward, he looks fully capable of dropping deeper and playing in a No.10 role or potentially even out wide.

Baars' ability to beat a man is there for all to see and his direct running with the ball is capable of scaring most defenders.

Of course, it is now up to Nicky Butt and the rest of United's youth staff to ensure Baars' development goes smoothly.

If it does, you will certainly be hearing a lot more about Millen Baars in the future.
