Arsenal came through their second pre-season match relatively unscathed on Saturday.

Currently in Australia, Arsene Wenger's men followed up their 2-0 win over Sydney FC with another 3-1 victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers at the ANZ Stadium.

Goals from Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny in the first half proved enough for the Gunners to continue their fine form ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Overall, Wenger will be pleased with his team's latest run-out, however, there was one particular moment of the second half he will want to forget.

Steve Lustica managed to grab a consolation strike for the Aussie side after the interval in rather hilarious circumstances.

Initially, Arsenal failed to clear their lines properly after the hosts struck the bar.

Then Ramsey passed the ball back to Emiliano Martinez - presumably, so the Spaniard could smash it away from danger.

So what did Martinez do? Pick it up, as you do...

It was so blatant, the referee had little choice but to award an indirect free-kick from just six yards out in the middle of the goal in favour of WSW.

As you can see in the video below, Arsenal brought every man back on the line to try and prevent the inevitable and very almost managed it.

Remarkably, the very first strike was blocked on the line - only for the rebound to bounce straight back to Lustica, who made no mistake with his second effort.

You really don't see enough indirect free-kicks these days, they are brilliant!

Of course, Wenger will be hoping his side have learned from that mistake by the time they are next in action.

The Gunners now have five days to recover and fly out to Shanghai, where they take on German champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
