Football News

Coventry have been dealt a blow with news Aron Gunnarsson has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The Icelandic midfielder was carried off on a stretcher following a tackle by Wednesday striker Leon Clarke during the Sky Blues' 2-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

Coventry manager Chris Coleman said: "It's not good news on Aron. We suspect a leg break or fracture unfortunately."

Iceland international Gunnarsson, 20, signed for Coventry for an undisclosed fee in June 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and has been a virtual ever-present in Coleman's starting line-up.
