Midfielder Kris Taylor could be about to sign a new contract with Port Vale.
The 25-year-old has been in terrific form this season and capped another fine display against Crewe with the winning goal in the derby clash at Gresty Road.
"Kris Taylor was fantastic and I'm going to be sitting down with him on Monday, he'll be signing a new contract until the end of the season," said Vale boss Micky Adams. "We have lost a few players through injury so it's important we keep a strong squad."
Adams was also full of praise for striker Marc Richards after he increased his tally to eight goals for the season in Saturday's 2-1 win.
"Marc Richards is as good as any striker in this division at the moment and he took his goal well," Adams added.
On the game itself, the Vale manager said: "I really enjoyed the performance, we played with a high tempo and I thought our front three were fantastic defending as well as going forward."
