Liverpool's longest serving player Lucas Leiva is on the verge of finally leaving the club. The Brazilian midfielder, who has spent the last ten years at Anfield, was pictured having a medical at Lazio on Sunday evening. It is thought the Serie A side have agreed a fee of £5 million for Lucas and official confirmation regarding the permanent move is expected shortly.Although the 30-year-old's role in the first team has declined over the last few seasons, there will still be plenty of Liverpool supporters sad to see him leave. After all, it isn't often a player sticks around at a club for a decade in the modern day.Lucas moved to Merseyside from Gremio in 2007 and went on to make 344 appearances for the Reds.Once the Lazio deal is eventually done, the 22-time Brazil international can expect tributes to flood in from supporters of his soon-to-be former club. However, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher hasn't waited for the official announcement to send his old teammate a classy tweet.Carragher spent six years playing behind Lucas before he retired in 2013 and took some time out of trolling Gary Neville to pass on his best wishes. He wrote: "Good luck @LucasLeiva87 you've been a great servant to @LFC now do the same at Lazio! #Unluckeeee"

So Carra has got a nice side after all.

If you don't understand the '#Unluckee' reference, just watch the hilarious video below - another reason why Lucas is so highly thought of by Liverpool fans.

The defensive midfielder will join the setup at the Stadio Olimpico just days after the man he is set to replace, Lucas Biglia, moved to AC Milan.

And Lazio ace Senad Lulic has already been singing the praises of the incoming Lucas.

“Lucas Leiva is a great player with a lot of experience,” Lulic said, as per The Mirror.

“We have so many young players here that we need someone like him. We await him with open arms and hope he arrives soon.”
