Watford remain hopeful of extending the loan spells of Tom Cleverley and Henri Lansbury.

Manchester United youngster Cleverley and fellow midfielder Lansbury, of Arsenal, are on loan with the Hornets until January.

The duo have had a huge impact at Vicarage Road this season - they were superb in Friday night's 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday - and boss Malky Mackay wants to keep them on beyond their initial spells.

"We are talking to their parent clubs about it. It depends on their ideas for the players," said Mackay. "I know both players are happy."
