Nike is promising sweeping changes to NBA jerseys, announcing an entirely new approach to how uniforms function in the league. They've done away with the traditional "home" and "away" stylings, planning on designing four unique jerseys for teams. Two of them, the "association" and "icon" editions, will work similarly to home and away looks. Nike is designing two additional styles, dubbed "athlete's mindset" and "the community" that have yet to be revealed.A small number of the new Nike jerseys have been spotted, the league slowly trickling out the fresh looks. Some are very similar to the Adidas designs, while there promises to be others that are a complete overhauls. Everyone's keeping an eye out for the new Nike designs. It appears one of the new Cleveland Cavaliers designs has been leaked, with Twitter user Tommy Flaminio sharing a picture of someone in Columbus, Ohio putting the new uniform on a mannequin. If this isn't one of the new Cavaleirs jerseys - you can see the Nike check mark on the shoulder - then I don't know what this is:This is definitely a sharp look, with the Cavaliers' wine red being the base of the uniform This is probably the "icon" edition of the new Nike look based on how the company described the inspiration for that styling."The Icon Edition, previously known as the road uniform, represents the rich heritage and iconic identity that exists within each franchise," Nike said in its uniform reveal earlier this month. "This edition utilizes the team’s primary color, a color that dominates the closets of the most diehard fans."Another tell that the Cavaliers jersey leak is legitimate? Nike has been putting team logos on the shorts' belt, and this uniform has a very clear "CAVS" logo centered on the belt buckle. Pretty much everything points to this being one of the new looks Cleveland will be wearing next year.

The yellow accents are nice, and very Cavaliers-y still. The black lettering on the number is an interesting touch, with Cleveland traditionally using yellow for all letters and numbers on the wine-red away jerseys.

The downside? This certainly has a resemblance to the Atlanta Hawks jerseys, which have a similar red base with yellow and black accents.

There are definite similarities, but does that really matter? The Cavaliers three main colors have been red, yellow and black for a long time, and it just so happens that another team also has those same colors. Ultimately it's only a big deal if somehow both teams trot out wearing their red jerseys.

All bets are off if that happens.
