After years of striking woes, West Ham finally seem to have found a solution to their problem after announcing the signing of Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen. The Mexican hitman arrived at the London Stadium for around £16m and the general consensus is that the deal for the 29-year-old is one of the smartest pieces of business in the transfer window. Hernandez has previous experience in the Premier League with Manchester United and was one of Sir Alex Ferguson's most potent weapons in the latter stages of his managerial career.

Chicharito may not have always been a starter for the Red Devils but he was regularly called upon from the bench to dig United out of a rut. On most occasions, he delivered.

Now, he will be looking to replicate his past form on English shores with the Hammers and in training, the Mexican international has certainly been showcasing his skills.

West Ham's official Twitter account posted a short video of Hernandez taking part in a drill and the end result left fans drooling over his potential for the upcoming season.

Not bad, not bad at all. Hernandez is widely recognised as a poacher striker, feeding off of loose balls in the box but here, he shows he is capable of scoring a real screamer.

West Ham fans duly posted some replies highlighting their excitement.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is aware of his quality too and knows that Slaven Bilic has made a real astute buy.

The Red Devils manager said, per Telegraph: "I would always welcome (him) in my squad because he doesn't need many minutes on the pitch to score but we move in another direction in a younger player in Lukaku and we have Rashford who can be a striker so we didn't feel that need.

"But no doubt from West Ham to get a player of his experience and quality is very good."
