The Los Angeles Drew League has been providing NBA fans with their summer fix of basketball for decades and the 2017 offseason has been no different.

DeMar DeRozan, Nick Young, Julius Randle and JaVale McGee have made headlines at King Drew Magnet High School and the latest NBA player to get in on the act was Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Iman Shumpert.

Sporting a newly buzzed hair cut, the former New York Knicks player teamed up with rapper 'The Game' to put on a show in the City of Angels.

Shumps team were comfortable 100-83 winners thanks to some incisive passing from the guard and some lights out shooting - despite a dodgy motion - from the award-winning rapper.

The Game caught fire with a plethora of three-point shots while Shumpert facilitated the play and wowed the crowd with some dunks and distance shooting.

Shumpert was unable to stamp his authority on the NBA Finals as the Cavaliers fell 4-1 to the Golden State Warriors but he was one step ahead of everyone on the court at the Drew. Watch the highlights below. Shump also posted his own video on Instagram.

TRADE

Shumpert has been at the center of the recent Kyrie Irving speculation. Following the point guard's declaration that he wants out of the Cavaliers, many proposed trades - mostly rumours - have seen Shump heading out of his home from the previous two years.

Proposed trades have seen Shumpert theoretically land in Portland, Minnesota and Phoenix. As of yet, nothing has materialised. Kyrie is still with the Wine and Gold, and a move away from Ohio seems no closer than it was when the news first broke.

Wherever Shumpert ends up playing his basketball, he will surely be determined to improve on a 2016-17 season that saw him average 7.6 points on 41.1% from the field off the Cleveland bench.
