Hilarious video highlighting Danny Welbeck's bizarre special talent goes viral

An Arsenal fan has produced a brilliant video celebrating Danny Welbeck’s bizarre talent.

The 26-year-old England international has been plagued by injuries since joining the Gunners from Manchester United in 2014.

Welbeck was signed from his boyhood club for £16m but has only managed to register 10 Premier League goals under Arsene Wenger.

Despite regaining full fitness, the arrival of club record signing Alexandre Lacazette is likely to push the former United star down the pecking order.

Olivier Giroud, Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott are all vying with Welbeck for a place in the first XI that doesn’t really exist.

Like many Manchester United fans before them, Gooners have warmed to Welbeck and appreciate the different skillset that he offers.

An Arsenal fan on Twitter has created a fantastic video celebrating his bizarre knack of accidentally assisting his teammates.

Or perhaps it’s not accidental at all. The caption reads ‘Danny Welbeck’s vision is in 3074 while we’re all in 2017’.

He’s made just 15 Premier League starts in the past two seasons and will certainly be hoping to make his mark this year with the Russia World Cup fast approaching.

Arsenal’s 2017/18 campaign kicks off this weekend when they face Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley.

Wenger was handed a two-year contract extension over the summer, despite failing to secure Champions League football for the first time in the 21st century.

The Gunners finished 5th last season and are already considered the bookies favourites for the Europa League title, alongside AC Milan.

Alexis Sanchez only returned to full training this week but Wenger believes his side are ready for the start of the 2017/18 season.

“I am sure that we will have done the needed work,” said Wenger. “Last year we went into the season with some players having a deficit in minutes played you know.

“Of course it was after the European championship, I think we have more players ready to go into the competition.

“We had tougher games as well. So we should be ready, yes.”

Arsenal face Leicester City, Stoke City and Liverpool in their opening Premier League fixtures.
