Jamaican champion Usain Bolt will be taking to the track this weekend for the final time of his pro career as he says goodbye to the sport after a decade-long dominance.

The World Championships in London will be the centre of attention as the world of athletics bids farewell to the greatest sprinter in the history of the sport.

An illustrious career for the eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Bolt has proved his worth at the biggest stage and he can be regarded as a legend of the sport, alongside an inspiration for the youngsters across the globe who are aiming to emulate the icon in the near future.

Day one of the World Championships in the capital of England began brilliantly for the 30-year-old, as he managed to win heat six, the final event of the day.

Although, Bolt himself remains adamant he could perform better.

The semi-finals, as well as the finals, will be the ideal platform for Bolt to create history and call time on his career as a champion.

However, ahead of the heats, earlier during the day, he was picturised performing a bizarre warm-up routine which took everyone by surprise.

Bolt was seen in a jovial mood, galloping from one end of the track to the other in peculiar footsteps, ending the run amongst other sprinters and athletes.

Fans across every continent will be anticipating an enthralling contest on Sunday, with the Bolt faithful confident that the Jamaican ace will be performing to the best of his abilities, bowing out on a high.
