As well as losing respect for Neymar over the past couple of weeks, some Barcelona supporters also have a lower opinion of Dani Alves.

The Brazilian full-back is friends with Neymar and, if you believe certain reports, played a role in convincing his former Barça teammate to leave the Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

You can forgive Barcelona fans for feeling angry with Alves if the reports are true. Although the right-back may have left the Catalan giants under a cloud, convincing one of the club’s best players to join him in Paris could be described as a low blow.

Alves is one of the best players in Barcelona’s recent history but it wouldn’t be a shock if he received a few boos the next time he returns to the Camp Nou.

Neymar, meanwhile, is guaranteed a hostile reception if he ever returns to Barcelona’s home ground with PSG.

This Barça fan is fuming with Neymar and Alves

One Barça fan is furious with the two Brazilians and has reacted by throwing two items of memorabilia - they look like drinks coasters - into a bin.

‘SNM’ - @luchoysije - filmed himself throwing the Alves and Neymar coasters into the bin and tweeted: ‘They taught me how to throw litter in the trash since I was little, so I put it into practice with these two’.

What an absolute savage.

Neymar hasn’t responded - he’s doing the wise thing and keeping his head down - but Alves has.

“También te quiero nanuuu!” he tweeted - which translates to ‘I love you too!’

A classic response from Alves, one of football’s biggest jokers.

But we’re not sure Barcelona supporters will see the funny side.

Why Barcelona fans are angry with Alves

Should they be angry with Alves? Well, here’s what he said just days before Neymar made his final decision…

"You have to be selfish because the clubs don't think of you once you don't produce results, as I am an example of,” he was quoted as saying by Goal. "I told him one thing, which is to be brave, as this world is for the brave.

"Decisions are for the brave and I am the bravest, deciding to leave Barcelona and Juventus.

"He must now make a decision to keep progressing. I just want my friend to be happy wherever he is, although if that is here then that's obviously better."

You can make your own minds up.
