The news broke via Twitter on Monday that the #1 contender for the RAW Women's Championship Bayley would not be able to compete at Summer Slam.

Bayley suffered an injury on RAW during a match with Nia Jax and has been on the shelf with a shoulder injury ever since.

A new #1 contender.

Bayley was confirmed as unfit for Summer Slam on Monday and with less than two weeks until the event, the WWE wasted little time preparing her replacement.

They announced two separate triple threat matches for Monday's episode of RAW, with the winner of each going on to next week where they will face off in a one on one match with the chance to challenge Alexa Bliss for the title on the line.

Bliss will be defending her title at Summer Slam, however she won't have any time to build up a good feud with her opponent due to the injury.

The first match on RAW saw Sasha Banks take on Emma and Alicia Fox.

Banks would emerge victorious as Emma would waste the chance she has been campaigning for for several weeks on Twitter.

Emma would be the one to tap out to the Bank Statement in the match and ensure that it was Sasha Banks who advances to RAW next week.

In the other triple threat, Nia Jax would take on Dana Brooke and Mickie James.

Unsurprisingly, it was Jax who came out victorious in this one as she earned her way to the match against Banks at RAW next week.

Meaning that either Banks or Jax will be advancing to Summer Slam, fans will surely be divided on who they think will win.

Friends turned enemies.

After she won her triple threat, Jax would look over to the announce table where the RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss sat.

Jax would share an intimidating look with the Champion, possibly telling her in her own way that she is not on her side anymore, now that there is a title challenge in the balance.

The two have worked as a team in recent weeks, but their allegiance only came out of the fact that Nia wasn't the #1 contender, now she has a chance to be just that, you would have to assume that all bets are off.
