Carlisle are hopeful defender Peter Murphy will be available to return when Swindon visit Brunton Park.

The Irish central defender was ruled out of Tuesday night's FA Cup victory at Morecambe after injuring his groin in training on Monday, but after receiving treatment this week he should be available to face the Robins.

Midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson will definitely not feature against Danny Wilson's side and will be ruled out for around three weeks after spraining a knee ligament in training on Monday.

Central defender David Raven underwent a hip operation on Monday and will be on crutches for four weeks before starting his rehabilitation programme.

Midfielder Paul Thirlwell (Achilles) also remains on the sidelines, while Andy Cook has returned from a loan spell at Barrow after suffering a metatarsal injury and the young striker is awaiting scan and X-ray results.

Swindon manager Wilson has a virtual clean bill of health for the trip.

The postponement of last Saturday's league clash against Leeds due to the international calendar means the Robins have enjoyed nine days rest since their Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Norwich.

Swindon's last league fixture came back at the end of October and Wilson will be keen to see his charges build on their 4-1 triumph at Tranmere and put themselves back within touching distance of the top six.

Goalkeeper David Lucas has recovered from illness and will compete with Phil Smith for the number one jersey, while midfielder Jonathan Douglas is in line for his first league match in six weeks having recently made his comeback after suspension.

On-loan striker Tope Obadeyi returned to Bolton after the JPT defeat last time out and will therefore not feature.

Defender Hasney Aljofree (knee) played his first full match in almost a year earlier this week but the clash will come too soon for him, while midfielder Alan O'Brien (hamstring) is in a similar situation. Winger Lloyd Macklin (fractured leg) and Kurt Hammonds (knee) remain out.
