A heroic performance from goalkeeper Mikhael Jamiez-Ruiz earned Aldershot a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Notts County and their fourth consecutive clean sheet.
The Venezuelan shot-stopper denied the promotion hopefuls with a string of top drawer saves, tipping Lee Hughes's downward header over the bar in first-half injury time, as well as blocking stinging efforts from Luke Rodgers and Matt Ritchie after the break.
County, who stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games, also had Hughes's deft header from a corner cleared off the line by Scott Donnelly after 74 minutes and substitute Craig Westcarr went close late on.
Despite defending for long periods, the Shots could have broken the deadlock themselves after 40 minutes but Donnelly was thwarted by Kasper Schmeichel, steering his low drive round the post.
And the visitors counter-attacking rampages in the closing stages created a thrilling finale.
Aldershot's powerhouse striker Marvin Morgan twice went close, seeing a header whistle past the upright and his drive fizz across goal.
