Absent Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce got a welcome tonic as his side ended a run of 10 defeats on the road in the league with a 2-0 victory over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.

David Dunn made the breakthrough and a bizarre own goal from Sam Ricketts secured the points as Allardyce awaits surgery on a heart condition.

While Blackburn were celebrating a rare away victory these are difficult days for Bolton boss Gary Megson as his side remain in the relegation zone.
