WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair continues to fight for his life.

Flair has undergone surgery, but the situation is still extremely serious. It was noted in reports that the 16-time world champion was scheduled to have surgery this week. TMZ has reported that Flair is no longer in a medically induced coma.

Flair’s daughter, Charlotte flew into Atlanta on Monday morning to be by her father’s side. As of this writing, there’s still no word yet on the reason his hospitalization to an Intensive Care Unit. It was believed Flair is dealing with a heart issue, but that is not the case.

Mean Gene Okerlund revealed on Facebook that Flair actually had colon surgery and it not heart related like originally speculated.

“I’ve heard nothing on the outcome of Ric Flairs colon surgery this afternoon but the outpouring of prayers and love re-enforce that he definitely is “THE MAN”.”

Charlotte has taken to her official Instagram account to comment on the support from the fans regarding her father’s condition as well as talk about the situation for the first time. She wrote the following:

“Hi guys, On behalf of my family and I, we want to THANK everyone for the prayers, texts, calls and support. Our Dad is a FIGHTER and your continued thoughts and prayers MEAN THE WORLD to us. We will update everyone when we have more information.”

It should be noted that the WWE Hall of Famer isn’t out of the woods yet but his manager says that his surgery went well. We are still hoping for the best and the well-wishes have been flowing in for Flair and his family. Sending love to the Flair family and hopefully things continue to slowly get better. Charlotte’s status for upcoming WWE events is still unknown.

Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Flair is not likely to appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live on the USA Network in Providence, RI at the Dunkin Donuts Center. As of this writing, she is not scheduled to wrestle at this Sunday’s Summerslam PPV (pay-per-view) in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

She is scheduled to make several appearances later this week as part of SummerSlam week to promote the upcoming event. It will be interesting to see if WWE pulls her from those appearances. Meltzer mentioned that she is on a minute-to-minute basis right now regarding those appearances.
