One injured WWE Superstar could be returning to in-ring action soon. That Superstar is Paige. The WWE Superstar has been out of action due to suffering a neck injury since last June. She underwent surgery last October and has been planning on returning to the ring since this past June.Earlier this month, Paige appeared on Busted Open on Thursday and mentioned that she will be returning to WWE soon. She noted that although she doesn’t have an exact date for her return, she is waiting to hear back from her doctor after she underwent a CT scan during a checkup. She also mentioned in the interview that she is ready to be back in WWE as well as see the other Superstars such as Bayley, Nia Jax, and Alexa Bliss. She added that she was so happy that Naomi was SmackDown Women's Champion. The former WWE Divas Champion recently appeared with Alberto El Patron for the Malik Rose Bowling Tournament on Monday in San Antonio, Texas. The event was to raise money for the Salvation Army's Emergency Family Shelter. While at the tournament, KENS5's Chelsey Hernandez caught up with Paige and asked her for an update on when she will be back to TV. Here is what she had to say:"Hopefully within the next couple of months, fingers crossed," Paige said. "Now I have to get cleared by WWE doctors."

Paige signed with WWE in 2011, and She made her debut for FCW at a house show in January 2012 while using the ring name Saraya. WWE went on to rebrand its developmental territory FCW into NXT. Paige's NXT television debut took place on the third episode of the rebooted NXT, taped at Full Sail University, in which she lost to Sofia Cortez.

During her time with the sports entertainment company, she held the NXT Women’s Title once and the Divas Title twice. Paige made her unannounced debut on the main roster in April 2014 on Raw the night after WrestleMania XXX by congratulating Divas Champion AJ Lee on her successful title defense at the pay-per-view event. Paige would go onto defeat Lee to win the championship.
