Sheffield Wednesday have completed the loan signing of striker Warren Feeney from Cardiff.

The 28-year-old Northern Ireland international has signed an emergency loan deal until December 28 and is expected to go straight into Brian Laws' squad for Saturday's home clash with West Brom.

Laws said: "I'm really pleased Dave Jones has allowed Warren to join us on loan because he is an attack-minded player with a lot to offer in the final third and he'll give us a boost going into the festive fixtures."

He added: "We've been creating plenty of opportunities in recent matches but we need to convert those into goals and hopefully Warren can bring something extra to the team in that respect."

Feeney, a former Leeds trainee, has also played for Bournemouth, Luton and Swansea. He spent last season on loan at Dundee United, scoring six goals in 22 appearances.
