Triple H has had one of the most controversial rises to the top of the WWE in history.

"The Game" started off his professional wrestling career in 1992 before landing a deal with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) (WWE's then-biggest competitor) in 1994 for a year. He finally signed with WWE in 1995 where he began his rise by winning the Intercontinental Championship and forming D Generation X. Around the year 2000 Hunter began an on-screen relationship with "The Chairman Of The Board's" daughter, Stephanie McMahon, which turned into a real life relationship.

Eventually the pair were married in 2003 and Triple H went on to have one of the most successful careers in WWE history. He is a 14 time World Champion, a five time Intercontinental Champion, a two time European Champ, the 1997 King Of The Ring winner, and a two time Royal Rumble match winner (2002 and 2016).

Currently he serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the WWE and makes a once a year appearance in the ring to put over a young talent at WrestleMania. For the past few years he has worked against the likes of Sting, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. On a recent episode of ex-WWE official Bruce Prichard's podcast, Something To Wrestle With, Triple H was discussed as they were reviewing SummerSlam 2000.

During the episode, Prichard noted that Hunter had earned the reputation of a 'brown noser' shortly after beginning his romantic relationship with Stephanie McMahon (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"I don't know because I wasn't one of the boys and listening to that gossip and rumor and innuendo. It never got to me because I was in the office.

"That wouldn't get to me, so to listen to that and hear that, I never really heard any of that kind of s--t until much, much later, when he was more involved." Prichard pondered, "I'm trying to figure out when, probably whenever it came out that he was dating Stephanie, around that timeframe."
