We're now only a week and a day away from arguably the biggest fight of the past decade as next Saturday, Floyd Mayweather will take on Conor McGregor in a boxing match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Although it's bound to be a spectacle that shouldn't be missed, many people believe this fight is a mismatch because of the vast difference in boxing experience between the two fighters, one having never fought professionally before, while the other has an undefeated professional record of 49-0.

Reputations are on the line for both fighters entering this fight despite the record difference, as McGregor is fighting to establish his future in the boxing world, while Mayweather is fighting to cement his legacy as the greatest boxer of all time.

Money believes, however, that it is him that's taking the bigger risk with this super fight because everything is on the line for him when he steps into the ring next Saturday and goes face to face with The Notorious.

Mayweather said during a conference call on Thursday, according to Boxing Scene: “I truly believe I’m taking the bigger risk. There’s a big reward for both, but I’m taking the bigger risk. You know, I have the 49-0 record. And when a fighter has lost before, if he lose again they say, ‘Oh, it’s nothing. He lost before.’

"But when a fighter has been dominating for 20-something years and never lost, everything is on the line – my legacy, my boxing record, everything is on the line."

Despite the claims that he has a lot to lose due to the fact he is putting his undefeated professional boxing record on the line, the thought of losing hasn't even crossed the mind of Money.

“I just really try to focus on being positive and just worry about going out there and doing what I do best,” Mayweather said. “You know, I try not to think about losing or taking an ‘L.’ That’s not really my focus. You know, every day I tell myself, ‘I’m a winner. I was born to be a winner at life. Not just in the ring, but I was born to be a winner.’

“So whatever I do, I try to give it a hundred percent and I try to push myself to the limit. But like [Showtime’s] Stephen [Espinoza] said, it’s all about taking risks. And I wouldn’t be where I’m at if I didn’t take risks. I don’t mind putting the 49-0 record on the line. I don’t mind putting everything on the line for this fight. I feel like it’s worth it.”
