When you look at the SmackDown LIVE roster, it’s hard to argue that both Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are two of the most underutilised stars on the blue brand – or even in all of WWE.

Harper is probably the one who deserves a lot more compared to Rowan, as it was clear back on NXT that Rowan would be the one that struggles to break through whenever The Wyatt Family would come to an end.

PLANS

Harper, though, showed what he can do earlier this year when he was given a real chance to shine.

In fact, at one stage there were rumours suggesting that he could end up finding himself in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 33, following Randy Orton’s initial decision not to face Bray Wyatt which saw Harper and AJ Styles in the running after an entertaining battle royal.

The reaction from fans said it all as well; they know Harper has a lot to offer but the company doesn’t seem to be putting the faith in either of them; that’s why we haven’t seen them on television since Backlash when they competed against each other.

Recently, Harper and Rowan have been working with strange partners at live events, with Rowan teaming up with Kalisto while Harper donned a luchador mask himself when teaming up with Sin Cara.

So, it’s clear that there’s no sense of direction for them both.

REPACKAGED

However, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has shed some light on what WWE could be working on for both men in the near future.

Satin has claimed to have heard that WWE could be repackaging both Harper and Rowan, which is why they haven’t been on television for a while – while Dolph Ziggler is also reportedly being repackaged.

According to Satin, Rowan and Harper could be getting a new look and a new attitude so that they can distance themselves from any association with The Wyatt Family, as they’ve always been linked with the group and that’s how they are primarily known, with Braun Strowman the only one who has reached new heights of success.

While it hasn’t been confirmed that this will happen, Rowan has already been spotted using a clown version of his mask at live events, where he’s even been spotted with balloons so it could be something along those lines.

If not, then it’s probably something we haven’t seen at house shows yet and that will only build the excitement for when they’re back on SmackDown LIVE.

If that’s what happens, then hopefully the writers book them to their strengths.
