The crowd in attendance at the Barclays Center last night delivered a huge pop when Cole, O'Reilly, and Fish appeared to attack McIntyre after his NXT Championship win against Roode in the main event of the show.

O'Reilly and Fish appeared on the ring apron to attract the attention of The Chosen One as the former ROH World Champion came from behind for the sneak attack, cutting McIntyre's championship celebration short with a superkick.

Fans showed their appreciation for Cole finally being part of the WWE by giving him a big pop on his debut, and WWE superstars followed suit on Twitter by showing their excitement for the arrival of the former Ring of Honor star.

Following his NXT debut, Cole now looks set to be McIntyre's first feud as NXT Champion, meaning there is a possibility we have seen the last of Roode in NXT, as he could be part of the Superstar Shake-Up which is rumored to take place in the weeks following SummerSlam.

Both Monday Night RAW's general manager Kurt Angle, and SmackDown Live's general manager Daniel Bryan were in attendance at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III last night, and both of them would have had their eyes on The Glorious One for their respective brands.

NXT's tapings next week at Full Sail University should be very exciting, as not only will we get to see more of Adam Cole in WWE, but we should also get an indication as well if this was the last time Roode is part of the NXT roster.
