Accrington have held preliminary contract talks with management duo John Coleman and Jimmy Bell about possible contract extensions.

The pair have been in charge for over 10 years, taking the club from the UniBond First Division to The Coca Cola League Two, and verbally agreed a new 12-month rolling deal in the summer.

Stanley managing director Dave O'Neill told the Lancashire Telegraph: "It's up to them because they'll have to agree to it, but we'll probably look to put an 18-month deal in place. Hopefully by the end of December we'll have the paperwork there that they can sign, which is a positive thing."

It is thought Coleman and Bell may even sign until 2012, which would take their Accrington reign to 13 seasons in total.
