One WWE Superstar has suffered a devastating injury.

That Superstar is Big Cass. He suffered an injury during his Brooklyn Street Fight match with Enzo Amore on Monday’s episode of Raw in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center. As seen in the match, Cass went for a big boot but Amore moved, and Cass fell over the top rope and to the floor.

Although he attempted to tough it out, he was in a lot of pain. When he tried to hit the Empire Elbow on Amore, his knee buckled. This led to the referee and trainer checking on him. The match was then stopped.

WWE has confirmed the injury by posting the following statement on his injury:

“Big Cass suffered an injury to his left knee during the Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore on Raw, WWE.com can confirm. The injury occurred after Amore dodged a big boot by pulling down the top rope, sending Cass to the floor in the process.

"It's hard to tell what the extent of the injury is, but we're going to send him to get an MRI tomorrow and figure that out," said WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson.”

Following the match, Big Cass was obviously upset with the injury as he was cursing and hitting his leg as well as the rope. A fan who was in attendance at the show has released a heartbreaking video as it looks like he knows how serious it is. You can watch the video here:

We wish him a speedy recovery. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out. Up until his injury, WWE was pushing the big man to the moon. They placed him in a feud with Amore after he turned on his former tag team partner. Cass had been defeating Amore in squash matches over the last month.

They inserted The Big Show into the program, which saw Cass beat Show on Raw a few weeks ago and at this past Sunday’s SummerSlam PPV (pay-per-view) event. It will also be interesting to see how this injury affects Amore’s status on WWE television. We will keep you update when we receive more information.
