It has been quite a difficult year for WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross, who lost his beloved wife, Jan, this past March.

Ross' wife was riding her Vespa scooter from her home to the gym one night when she was hit by a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Jan was thrown from the scooter and both the vehicle and scooter caught fire. The driver was a 17-year-old male who was not harmed during the collision. Ross broke the hearts of his millions of fans across the world as he updated the situation on social media, writing the following on Twitter: "My wife Jan, my little angel, was hit while riding her Vespa & has multiple skull fractures. She's in surgery now. We need a miracle."

Just days later, Ross took to Twitter to announce the devastating news that his wife was read her final rights by a priest, and she had passed: "A priest gave my wife Jan her last rites tonight. My little angel is gone."

Ross' wife suffered multiple skull fractures during the crash and the swelling in her brain wouldn't let up. The professional wrestling broadcasting king obviously took the news hard, however, that didn't stop him from picking himself up and getting right back to work. Miraculously, Ross was able to collect himself and call the main event of WrestleMania 33 between The Undertaker and Roman Reigns.

He didn't miss a beat and it was great to hear Ross' voice back on WWE programming. This past weekend, Ross held one of his ‘RINGSIDE: An evening with Jim Ross’ shows in New York during SummerSlam weekend. His special guest was none other than "The Advocate" for Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman.

The appearance was a special one due to the fact that Heyman, much like Lesnar, doesn't make many appearances outside WWE programming. At the end of his appearance, Heyman gave an emotional speech about Ross an his late wife Jan, who he said was a great person and truly was Ross' other half.

Ross was visibly emotional throughout the speech, and fans continued to chant for Ross and offered him several standing ovations. You can check it out here:
