Crystal Palace assistant boss Mick Jones has revealed the players have not made a single mention of the delay in their wages being paid this week.

Players and staff at Selhurst Park were informed after Saturday's game against Watford that they would be paid 10 days late, with boss Neil Warnock explaining chairman Simon Jordan has a "cash-flow problem".

But Jones told the club's official website: "After all the controversy that has surrounded the club over the past few days with players wages, I stood with the gaffer and (coach) Keith Curle at the training ground and there was not a hint of a mention of it."

He added: "We were waiting for a cheeky comment or some frustrations but there was nothing.

"Instead the players have shown us all that there is a terrific camaraderie around the club at the moment."
