Cristiano Ronaldo might be banned from football but you still can’t keep him down.
The Portuguese star was suspended for the opening four matches of Real Madrid’s league season for pushing a referee and Zinedine Zidane thought it would be wise to give his star man 90 minutes in the Bernabeu Cup.
And boy was it good to watch Ronaldo in action after he missed Real’s La Liga opener against Deportivo La Coruna last Sunday.
The 32-year-old scored one and set up another as Real defeated Serie A outfit Fiorentina 2-1.
And what a goal it was. Cutting in from the right, Ronaldo’s thunderous effort flew across Fiorentina’s goal and into the far corner.
The winger, who looked destined to add a fifth Ballon d’Or trophy to his collection, reacted to his goal with a simple shrug. Because that’s just what he does.

Casemiro and Marcelo's hilarious reaction
Ronaldo’s teammates Casemiro and Marcelo summed up Ronaldo’s strike with an incredible reaction from the substitutes’ bench.
Casemiro looks simply stunned while Marcelo rubbed his eyes in astonishment.
Check out their reaction below.
Only Ronaldo could force Marcelo to react like that.
The Portugal international will sit out of Real’s next three matches as he continues to serve his ban, a punishment which he feels is completely unfair.
"Another incomprehensible decision, from injustice to injustice, they will never tear me down, and as always, I will return stronger than ever, thanks to all those who have supported me," he wrote on Instagram after his suspension was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
But it’s not as if Real are struggling in Ronaldo’s absence. They defeated Barcelona in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup to secure their first piece of silverware for the season and got the defence of their La Liga title up and running with a 3-0 win over Deportivo.
Gareth Bale, Casemiro and Toni Kroos scored the goals and Zidane went on to insist he is happy with his squad, with summer arrivals Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos both playing against Fiorentina.
"I want this squad as it is," Zidane said, per Goal.
“I love it and hopefully there is no change, but you know that until the 31st everything can happen."
Real Madrid haven’t looked so strong in years.
