Floyd Mayweather kept boxing's status away from embarrassment on Saturday when he successfully defeated Conor McGregor inside the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather won via technical knockout after the referee brought the fight to a stop during the 10th round for McGregor's safety. Notorious had opportunities in the early rounds to put away Money, but he simply gassed out as the fight went on.

It was a valiant effort for McGregor to have his first professional boxing match against arguably the greatest boxer the world has ever seen, and several NBA stars were in attendance in Las Vegas last weekend to witness the historic super fight live.

One of the NBA stars at the event was LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers star offered his condolences to McGregor after his defeat to Mayweather by saying how long he would have lasted in a boxing match against the undefeated boxer.

The four-time MVP didn't give himself much of a chance against the 50-0 boxer, as he said he would be dropped "in the first round." LeBron also highlighted the willpower McGregor showed during the fight, saying: "You've got to respect him, though, because he ain't no boxer. Tough as a motherf****r." JR Smith was with James at the fight on Saturday night, and while the former MVP said he would be dropped in the first, Smith believes he would have been able to hold his own, saying that for $30 million, he would "be tough, too."

We eagerly await to see if either James or Smith decides to start getting themselves in boxing shape to challenge Mayweather to another super fight that nobody would want to miss.
