It’s official – Floyd Mayweather has the greatest unbeaten record in professional boxing.

The American star concluded his 21-year career in the ring with victory over Conor McGregor in the mega money clash. It was a Frankenstein match-up that seemed a foregone conclusion and, ultimately, stayed true to just that.

McGregor put up an admirable fight, but beyond the fourth round was at the mercy of his unbeaten advisory. By round ten, his fatigue was all-too clear and Money eventually forced the stoppage.

The fight shattered PPV records with Mayweather announcing his retirement and conceding he: "chose the right dance partner to dance with."

Meanwhile, McGregor will likely please UFC president Dana White by returning to the Octagon. Khabib Nurmagomedov could be the 29-year-old’s next opponent.

And while both fighters experienced very different outcomes, one common denominator proves the lucrative money the fight amassed. Defeat will never have tasted so good for the Notorious.

Having secured the victory, though, Mayweather’s pay packet was even heartier with an estimated $300 million nestling in his pocket.

It’s fair to say it’s ample money with which to retire.

That being said, Mayweather has already taken a sizeable chunk out of his winnings with his notorious spending habits. The splurge began on the night of the victory with Money splashing the cash at a Las Vegas strip club.

It hasn’t ended there, though, with the 40-year-old seeking to treat a few of his friends after the bout. His latest Instagram story has delivered the evidence, too.

Mayweather has something of a reputation for flaunting about his riches on line, posing with wads of dollar bills. He might have outdone himself here, take a look:

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a receipt.

And if the man himself is true to his caption then the monstrous paper simply concerns footwear spending.

Admittedly, it was for nine friends and himself but when there’s a Gucci logo in the background, the zeros on the end of the prices will be as long as the receipt.

Then again, you can hardly blame him for spending his winnings and even treating a few mates. Besides, Gucci or not, there’s only so much of a hole you can blow in winnings rivaling the net worth of the Kardashian family.

Given his nickname, it would be rude not to stick with form, hey?
