You have to feel a bit sorry for Arsenal’s long-suffering supporters.

Just days after watching their side embarrass themselves against Liverpool on Sunday, they now look set to lose their star man Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.

Oh, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has completed his move to Jurgen Klopp’s side on what is turning out to be an immensely frustrating deadline day for Gunners’ supporters.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive, with various high-profile players linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Riyad Mahrez, Julian Draxler and Thomas Lemar are just three of the names reportedly on Wenger’s radar. Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal have made a last-ditch £92 million bid for Lemar. The panic, it seems, has well and truly set in.

The clock is ticking

Crucially, none of the deals have been completed yet, with just hours to go before the transfer window closes.

There’s a very real chance that Arsenal finish the night without any new arrivals to bolster their squad.

Arsenal supporters, needless to say, are having a bit of a meltdown on social media, especially with all the conflicting reports flying about.

Ian Wright sums up Arsenal's deadline day

There aren’t many Arsenal fans with more passion for the club than their former striker, Ian Wright, who has summed up the club’s deadline day perfectly on Twitter.

“Whoever leaves or whoever comes, AFC is still a great club❤️” Wright tweeted. “Unfortunately there's a monkeys tea party going on upstairs 😢“

Like many Arsenal fans at the moment, Wright clearly believes the club’s board are making it up as they go along.

Even Max from EastEnders agrees...

“I cant wait for this f*****g window to close 😡“ he added. “Gonna watch the news so as I can have something that's really worth being sad about. 🤔“

Wright's tweet to Oxlade-Chamberlain

Earlier in the day, meanwhile, Wright described Oxlade-Chamberlain as a “lucky man” after completing his move from Arsenal to Liverpool.

“Good luck @Alex_OxChambo you're are a lucky man!“ he tweeted. “You've left a great club and you've joined a great club 😎❤️ “

Wright's tweet on Alexis

Wrighty has also tweeted about Alexis after it was reported that the South American forward will be staying at the Emiates.

"It's bad business to let Sanchez walk out next year for free," he added. "Take the F*****g money! He don't want to be there! We're Arsenal so some pride"
