WWE has done a tremendous thing with Baron Corbin’s Commemorative plaque.

Corbin has been slowly but surely pushed to the moon while under contract with WWE. Corbin, who is a former offensive lineman for the National Football League's (NFL) Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals as well as a three-time Golden Gloves champion and former grappling champion, signed with WWE in 2012. He was placed in NXT.

Corbin is also the winner of the third annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. In July, Corbin won the Money in the Bank match for a WWE Championship opportunity and became the third wrestler to fail to win his cash-in match.

For a brief history lesson. Corbin cashed in his Money in the Bank contract earlier this month on an episode of SmackDown Live but lost in the WWE Championship match against Jinder Mahal. He then lost to John Cena during the opening match on the SummerSlam main card.

The finish of the match saw a distraction from Cena, Mahal was able to roll-up Corbin for the win and retained his WWE Championship. A fan on Reddit noted that Mahal pinned Corbin in 6 seconds, which beat the previous official title match record.

It’s well known by now that there have been several reports that suggest that there is a ton of heat on Corbin right now. Fans have picked up on Corbin having backstage heat and even chanted "You f--ked up" when he appeared during the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III Kickoff show. According to Dave Meltzer, Corbin is definitely being punished, and the way he was booked in his match with Cena was indicative of his heat.

Meltzer stated that the cash-in was a late decision and that Corbin had a lot of heat with talent backstage. As seen below, WWE has released a commemorative plaque for Corbin winning the 2017 Money in the Bank contract but they had to photoshop the photo due to him balding. You can check it out here:

What are your thoughts on this historic moment? Was it too soon for Corbin to cash-in or should have Corbin never won the briefcase. Have YOUR say in the comments section below and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
