Dean Kiely will line up in goal for West Brom against QPR as Scott Carson starts his three-match ban.

Carson saw red for landing a head-butt on Michael Chopra during the closing stages of Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat to Cardiff, meaning Kiely will make his first league start since the final day of last season.

Teenage keeper Ryan Allsop will be on the bench as Albion cannot recall Luke Daniels from his loan spell at Tranmere until January.

Midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu had to be substituted during the first half against the Bluebirds having twisted his knee, but has been passed fit.

In-form winger Jerome Thomas and striker Luke Moore both missed the midweek game with hamstring and thigh problems, but manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed he expects both men to be available for selection.

Robert Koren (hernia), James Morrison (heel), Ishmael Miller and Neil Clement (both knee) all remain sidelined, with Koren potentially the first to return around Christmas.

Akos Buzsaky is in the QPR squad for Monday night's game.

The Hungarian midfielder, who clashed with manager Jim Magilton following Monday night's defeat at Watford, will probably be on the bench at The Hawthorns.

Youth coaches Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham have been placed in temporary charge while Rangers investigate Monday's incident.

Defender Matt Connolly will be handed a late fitness test on the pelvic injury which has sidelined him for the last two matches.

On-loan Blackburn midfielder Steven Reid is still missing with a hamstring injury and striker Angelo Balanta (groin) needs a reserve game.

Winger Lee Cook is still out, although he is close to returning from his summer knee operation, while midfielders Gavin Mahon and Martin Rowlands (both knee) are long-term absentees.
