Booker T on the one dream match he never got to have

Booker T has had a tremendous professional wrestling career.

T has been wrestling since 1989 and signed with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) back in 1993 along with his brother as the tag team Harlem Heat. In 1997 he began a singles career that resulted in him winning the World Television Championship and the WCW Heavyweight Championship.

When WCW went out of business and was purchased by Vince McMahon in 2001, he was the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion as well as the United States Champion. He joined the WWE shortly after as a part of the invasion angle.

He had a tremendous career with WCW as he won the World Title five times, the Television Title six times, the United States Title once, and the WCW Tag Team Titles an unprecedented 10 times. When he joined WWE he won the World Heavyweight Title once, the Intercontinental Title once, the United States Championship three times, four Tag Team Titles (each with a different partner), and the 2006 King Of The Ring tournament winner.

Booker was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2013 and currently serves as a commentator on Monday Night RAW. He recently did an interview on Ring Rust Radio and was asked about who he wishes he could have competed against that he never got the opportunity to. His answer was none other than "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"Booker T vs. Shawn Michaels in our prime, not now of course. He's still looking real good, but even in our prime, I think Shawn Michaels and I could've went out and created some magic between us.

"He's the one guy I never really got a chance to get in the ring and perform with. There's been so many rivals, most of them Canadian guys like Rick Martel, Christian and Chris Benoit. Those guys were all ultimate professionals, every one of them.

"They went out and worked under the same roof for so many years with the same tenacity and they went out and performed just tirelessly. I was one of those guys.

"I felt like I went through that same school, but the Canadian guys were pretty much my all-time rivals in the business."
