Kurt Angle on what needs to happen for him to wrestle in WWE again

WWE fans really want to see Kurt Angle back in a WWE ring, and they may just get to see that sooner than they think.

Angle began his professional wrestling career back in 1998 when he signed with WWE. He remained with the promotion until 2006 and won the World Championship twice, a United States Title win, a WWE Tag Team Title win, four WWE Championship wins, an Intercontinental Championship win, and a 2000 King Of The Ring tournament win.

After leaving the company he decided to go do work for rival promotion Global Force Wrestling (GFW) (formerly known as TNA and Impact Wrestling). He remained with GFW until early 2016 and did work on the independent circuit before returning to WWE.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2017 and was appointed RAW General Manager shortly after WrestleMania 33 this past April. While fans enjoy seeing Angle on a weekly basis on WWE TV once again, they'd very much enjoy seeing him back where he belongs - competing inside the squared circle once again.

The "Olympic Hero" recently did an interview with The Miami Herald as a part of the WWE 2K18 launch party over SummerSlam weekend. During the interview, Angle was asked about a possible in-ring return for WWE and admitted that an in-ring return would be able to happen once he passes a WWE physical (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"I knew I wanted to finish my career in WWE. I didn't know it was going to happen. Then I got the call this year in January, I knew it was going to be possible. It has been a lot of fun being back, doing the Hall of Fame.

"I've been able to play an ambassador role for a couple of months. Then they gave me the General Manager spot. I've talked to Vince [McMahon] about wrestling in the possible future.

"Once he clears it and off to a physical, I'll be ready to go. Right now, I'm enjoying the general manager role. I will continue to until Vince has me do something else."
