Chris Jericho on what it would take for him to return to WWE

Chris Jericho just wrapped up his last run with WWE, and it could be a while before we see him again.

"Y2J" has had a tremendous professional wrestling career with WWE, serving as the promotion's first ever Undisputed Champion, winning seven WWE Tag Team Championships, five World Heavyweight Championships, a European Title win, a Hardcore Championship win, a nine time Intercontinental Champion, and two United States Championship wins. He recently joined WWE last year back on a full time schedule and racked up a few United States Title wins.

He formed a brief alliance with Kevin Owens that led to "KO" betraying Jericho. Jericho would ultimately get his revenge by costing Owens his Universal Championship against Goldberg. Jericho would go over on Owens at WrestleMania 33 but would lose the title to Owens just a few days later on SmackDown Live.

Jericho is now back on the road with his band, Fozzy, and isn't expected to return to WWE TV anytime soon. "Y2J" recently made an appearance on the The Other Guys Podcast with podcast  Baby Huey and Bimbo Jimbo to talk about a variety of topics. Jericho was asked about a potential WWE return, which the former champ sounds up for - but on one condition (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"Will I be back? Maybe, possibly," Jericho said. "If I never wrestled again it wouldn't bother me."

"I don't care about who is it I want to work with, for me it's what's the story behind it because I've worked with everybody," Jericho said. "It's about what's the storyline that you can put behind these things to make people really care."

"If I can think of a good story or if a good story is presented to me, then I'm all in, and I don't care if it's with John Cena or if it's with Enzo Amore, whoever," Jericho said.

"If it's a good storyline that I can sink my teeth into that I know people will love, just like the Festival of Friendship, then I'll come back again. If not, then it might be a little harder to attract me."

What are your thoughts on Jericho saying he'd need a good storyline if he were to come back for one more run in the WWE? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
